Service Outline:

  • 22nd July 1915 - Enlisted in the Australian Imperial Force in Melbourne and to camp Broadmeadows.

  • 22nd July 1915 - To 10th Infantry Battalion Reinforcements.

  • 25th November 1915 - To 7th Infantry Battalion Reinforcements but did not embark as required by Civil Police.

  • 25th March 1916 - Discharged Broadmeadows as services no longer required.


Other Information:

  • Described as 63 inches tall, 10 stone and 5 pounds in weight, chest 32.5 to 33.75 inches, dark complexion, brown eyes and black hair.

  • Noted on enlistment as ‘substantially European origin’.

  • Noted resisting arrest related charges in Lismore, New South Wales in 1907 when described as a Hindoo and Hearings Against Forfeiture notice in Swan Hill in 1921.

  • Enlisted as George SIMS.

  • Died Redfern, New South Wales in 1929.
